Appearance:
Tear is five foot four inches tall, and has long, light brown hair, with bangs that fall over her right eye, and blue eyes. She wears a long, brown and gold-trimmed tunic with a high, wide collar, over red tights. She wears white gloves that attach to long brown with gold-trimmed sleeves that don’t connect to her tunic, and brown boots with white on the toes and gold trimming.

Personality:
Tear comes off as a cold person, cool and collected. She tries to keep her feelings as distanced as she can. She can keep calm in most situations and sometimes analyzes situations as a soldier would.

But behind her calm persona, Tear’s feelings do influence her actions. She is extremely loyal to her friends, though she isn’t likely to show that to them. She really loves cute things of all sorts. She is very modest, especially when it comes to her appearance, and gets easily embarrassed about herself.

Tear has a strong sense of duty, both to tasks she is given and those she sets for herself. She has a low tolerance for idiocy, and will sigh her exasperation or scold depending on the situation. She believes there is a clear difference between right and wrong, and that people should take responsibility for their actions, but she is willing to give people second chances.

Abilities/Strengths:
Tear is a Seventh Fonist and a Melodist, and can heal people using the seventh fonon. She can sing a variety of fonic hymns for various attack, healing, and defense spells, and can even use several of Yulia’s fonic hymns. She is able to use staves and knives. Her seriousness and loyalty are both strengths.

Weapons:
Tear uses a staff in combat, has throwing knives.

Weaknesses:
Tear’s biggest weakness is for cute things. That she tries to push aside her feelings is another weakness.

History:
Tear is a descendent of Yulia Jue, and her family was originally from Hod, but Hod fell from the Outer Lands into the Qliphoth while her mother was still pregnant with her. Her mother died when she was very young, and so she was raised by her grandfather, who is the mayor of Yulia City in the Qliphoth, and her brother Van.

Tear looked up to Van, and when she was old enough she joined the Order of Lorelei, in which he was Commandant. Instead of going to the Outer Lands to train, Tear was trained personally by Legretta, Van’s assistant and a God-General.

When Tear finds out that Van is trying to destroy the Outer Lands, she attacks him at Duke fon Fabre’s mansion to try to stop him. There she and Luke fon Fabre, the duke’s son, accidentally create a hyperresonance and are blasted to Tataroo Valley. They get a ride from a coachman to the capital, but it turns out they are in Malkuth, not Kimlasca, where they had started.

Tear promises that she will get Luke back to Baticul, the capital of Kimlasca. On their way, they meet Jade Curtiss, Ion, Anise Tatlin, Guy Cecil, and Mieu. After being attacked by God-Generals several times, they return to Baticul with a letter of peace from Malkuth. The King accepts the letter and sends the group to Akzeriuth as ambassadors of peace. On their way out of Baticul they are joined by Natalia Luzu Kimlasca Lanvaldear.

In Akzeriuth Van tricks Luke into destroying the Sephiroth Tree that holds up that area of the Outer Lands. As the city collapses, Tear is able to use a fonic hymn to protect the group, but not any of the townspeople. Once in the Qliphoth, Tear directs the group to Yulia city, and most of the group leaves there to return to the Outer Lands.

Tear isn’t happy with Luke for collapsing Akzeriuth, and even less pleased that he tries to deny it, but she waits for him to come back to consciousness anyway. When he declares that he will change and asks her to watch him while he tries, she agrees. They find out from Tear’s grandfather that the fall of Akzeriuth was predicted in Yulia’s Score, and that St. Binah was in trouble, so they hurry up to the Outer Lands to save more lives from being sacrificed.

They meet back up with Guy and Jade just after they get to the Outer Lands, and find Natalia, Ion, and Anise later. They go to St. Binah, and though it does collapse, they are able to save the townspeople, taking them to Yulia City. But not only was St. Binah in trouble, Engeve is also likely to fall into the Qliphoth.

The group hurries to evacuate Engeve and try to stop the war between Malkuth and Kimlasca that has already started, splitting up to get both done, and meeting up in Chesedonia. The Engeve evacuees are given shelter there, but the Sephiroth Tree holding up Chesedonia is also failing. The group is able to lower the land safely so the people are safe, but there is still trouble between the two countries, and Van is still trying to destroy the Outer Lands.
